About Computer Department

The department was established in 1999 with intake capacity of 60. The department is well equipped with laboratories having computer system of latest configuration and is connected to high end server (for internet and data). The department has tie-up with Microsoft for academic software’s. The department is aiming towards the employability of the students, so that after graduation they need not need any further training for job placement. Parallel to the curriculum of the university, the department runs additional software’s/hardware courses to cope up with need of the industry. On regular basis the department organized seminar, workshop, conferences for faculty and students, so as to get updated with latest trained and scenario of industry. The student regularly visit the industry and they came to know about the practices adapted by the industry. Eminent speakers are visited for guest lectures both for faculty and students. More emphasis is given on application oriented concern. A separate departmental library, in addition to central library, having more than 500 titles and 1000 volumes serves the immediate need of the students during their practical sessions. Well qualified, experienced and self motivated faculty are the backbone of the department. The alumni of the department also extended their help by guiding their juniors in many ways.

M.E(Computer) is the new PG course introduced by the department in the academic year 2012-13 with a intake capacity of 18 students.
